There was a new nurse at my primary care practicioner.
My blood pressure was extremely high.
She refused my paperwork, then rudely asked for it later.
My eyes were tearing up from stress and emotionaly pain due to her shortness with me.
My tremors were worse than usual, due to increased agitation.
Then, after a really annoying start of the exam, she just walked out of the room with no comment, instructions or indication as to what was coming next. After about 10 minutes, I had a severe panic attack and ran out of the
building in tears. I didn't get to see my doctor. I wrote her a note on the patient portal explaining my experience and she said she would make every effort for me to see Sharra (my normal nurse, who is used to
neuro-divergents) and that she totally understood my situation. I'll be
going back in about a week. I'll try to take my medication before going, assuming someone else is driving.
