SEVEN INTELLIGENCES INTERRELATED

For quite some time, theorists and researchers have
maintained that intelligence is the overall basis to
learning and knowing. New that premise is being challenged
by Harvard psychologist Howard Gardner. He proposes that
man draws on different abilities to process various kinds of
information.

Rather than stating intelligence as one unique function, Dr.
Gardner argues that there are seven intelligences which are
interrelated. These seven intelligences are based on
evidence from a wide range of disciplines including
anthropology, biology and psychology. The seven are as
follows:

- Linguistic intelligence: Word meanings and uses of
language.

- Logical mathematical intelligence: Complex reasoning and
recognition of patterns.

- Spatial intelligence: Perceiving the visual world
accurately and the ability to recreate aspects of the
world based on perceptions.

- Musical intelligence: Sensitivity to pitch, melody and
tone.

- Bodily kinesthetic intelligence: Fine-tuned ability to use
the body and handle objects.

- Interpersonal intelligence: The ability to notice and make
distinctions among others.

- Intrapersonal intelligence: Access to one's own feelings
in life.

The report is presented to you because there seems to be,
according to "experiencers", considerable differences in
comprehension between the captives and the "Alien" crews who
subject them to examinations and other exercises. Perhaps
the seven types of intelligence hold a key to the
differences between the two species.
